Youth Mental Health
Manaia PHO Youth Mental Health – 12-19 years.
Manaia PHO now has a Mental Health Clinician focusing exclusively on youth mental health – 12-19 years. Therapy can be provided to all youth who fit the criteria, for up to three sessions with a therapist/counsellor within the community. The process of referral is below, and will need to contact the Youth Mental Health Clinician, Lucy Treadwell, to discuss which therapist/counsellor would best suit the young person.
Criteria for referral : all 12-19 year olds with a mild-moderate mental health issue.
Referral for youth (12-19 years) can now be made through the following options
- GP referral Through Healthlink
- Other health professional referral via fax referral form

- Self-referral through drop in to Whangarei Youth Space on a Tuesday or Thursday, Cafler Park/Rose Gardens
- Self-referral through email or phone call to Lucy Treadwell – 021 765 376
Please note: The Youth Primary Mental Health Clinician works Monday – Thursday only.
