Death documents online - Ministry of Health

Overview

The Ministry of Health has been working with the Department of Internal Affairs to make it simpler for health practitioners to complete medical documents after someone dies.

 

Now available

All doctors and nurse practitioners can now complete the medical certificates of cause of death and cremation forms via the new online Death Documents platform, instead of filling in paper forms. Online documents can be filled in on computers, tablets and mobile devices with internet access.

Launch of 'Safe to Talk' sexual harm helpline

Ministry of Social Development has recently launched 'Safe to Talk', a new 24/7 helpline staffed by specialists trained in sexual harm support. People will be able to access information, crisis counselling and support, and/or be given advice about their local service providers.

The helpline can be accessed free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by phone, text, website, online chat, and email on:
