Background:

No Mangakahia toku whaea no Hokianga toku matua ko Ngapuhi Te Rarawa me Te Aupouri nga iwi.  My mum’s whanau is from Mangakahia; my dad’s whanau is from the Hokianga. 

I have worked in several roles with the Whanagrei DHB as the CHW, Cultural Advisor, non clinical Educator (te reo me ona tikanga, Te Triti o Waitangi, Kaupapa Whakaruruhau/Cultural Safety)

The mahi with Manaia PHO is a real pleasure and this mahi consists of tikanga procedures, karakia, himene and waiata.
