Family life
I am married with five adult children and four grandchildren.  I was raised in Northland and have affiliations with Ngā Puhi nui tonu.

Previous Occupations/Roles
I worked in the United Kingdom for twenty years as a Children & Families Social Worker and part-time Psychotherapist. During my last ten years in the UK I managed the Fostering Service for an Independent Fostering Provider.

Current role
I am currently working as a Social Worker for Alzheimers Society Northland, and I was nominated for a position on Manaia Health PHO’s Community Advisory Group by that organisation.
