Present Role
I work as a Primary Mental Health Clinician within the Manaia PHO.  The role is involved in developing and co-ordinating services for people with mental health problems as well as providing assessment and treatment for people with mild to moderate mental health problems.

I have worked in mental health services for over 30 years working in hospitals and community roles before becoming a Nurse Therapist specialising in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.  After 15 years working in a clinical role I became a manager of mental health services.

Originally born in the UK I moved to New Zealand with my wife Nikki in 2001 working for 8 years on the North Shore in Auckland as a crisis nurse then as a triage and GP liaison nurse.  I moved to Northland in 2009 to take up this role.
