B.Soc.Sci, PGDip.Couns, Dip.Tchg, Cert.Supervision, MNZAC

I have a background 32 years in education, with 13 of these years as a School Counsellor. I have also worked as a counsellor in private practice for nine years.

I completed a B.Soc.Sci with Psychology in 1973 and a Post-Grad.Dip.Counselling through Massey University in 2003. Massey has an eclectic approach to training so I have a knowledge of a variety of different modalities. I tend towards a Person-centred approach along with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Solution-based Brief Interventions.

I have a passion for seeing people move from “stuck to un-stuck” in the physical, emotional, financial and spiritual areas of their life. I recognise the value of establishing daily activities to accomplish medium and long-term goals as a means of motivating clients to make positive change. I enjoy seeing clients achieve success and helping them define what that means for them.
