Lois Mouldey
I currently work in private practice both from Karaka cottage in Cooke Street and my home office in Mangapai.
I worked for 25 years of my counselling life at Jigsaw North where I held a range of roles: Manager, parenting group facilitator and therapist. I have always loved working in community and for families.
I have a Diploma of Family Therapy and I am an Imago Relationships Counsellor.
I am very grateful for my long apprenticeship in working with families and in the community in Whangarei because it has meant that I have a lot of experience to bring to the room when I sit with a person, a couple or a family.
I am loving learning about the research being done on the impact of trauma on the brain and body and continue to find out about the dynamics of relationships and trauma.
I believe that if people are well informed and listened to with diligence and offered appropriate skills they will un-tap their own wisdom and make great choices for their lives.
